The carpet in the Sanctuary is a section of the very large carpet which was laid in Westminster Abbey in 1953 for the Coronation of the present Queen.
On the north side of the altar is an inscription: 'To the glory of God and to the beloved memory of Queen Victoria, the Sanctuary of this church was enriched and beautified by her son, King Edward and her other children and grandchildren "Her children rise up and call her blessed".'
On the wall to the left of the Altar is the statue to St. Mildred.
